Now, I think that we all know by now that this isn't going to be a walk in the park. Ahead we face any number of issues, smaller problems such as time differences, long-distance communication and other kink to work out, but also larger problems like funding to get us on our feet and to enable other things, resources, there are loads. But perhaps we could try and get the attention of NASA.
I know a lot of you are thinking that this has seemingly been going nowhere for weeks, but it hasn't. I've been thinking things over an through, finding resolutions for problems as I think of them. I've been idly watching you guys talk about possibilities and researching them, and I agree with most of them.
Now, whenever anything has gone Viral, it most definitely has a majority to do with tumblr. Tumblr spreads news and ideas like wildfire. I know many of you have seen certain videos made by NASA themselves about trying to re-raise awareness about the possibilities that held in space, and their lack of funding. Perhaps we could help out. We would be doing a great thing, and get their attention, after all, if this is to work out then our main asset would be them.
The most effective way of getting a point across would be a video, after all who would want to read a lengthy written convincing argument when you can watch it instead? The more people kick up a fuss about this, the more attention the government will be forced to pay.
Until such time as space travel exists, which is likely to be within our lifetime might I add, Starfleet would have to operate on Earth. But don't let that discourage you. Man has worked efficiently from Earth for millennia, I'm sure we can handle it a bit longer, despite that most of you are itching to go out and explore. That's a great quality by the way, something found in every pioneer. Earth is only a starting point however, and from here we can do plenty of things, scientific research and such, with the combined effort of anyone capable we could greatly speed up the advancement of technology. As we all know, first time versions of things aren't the best, the first computer for example, took up an entire block, and was slower than a Nokia phone! The first Google Glass is apparently not all it's cracked up to be either, and you can be sure that this is going to be the same. When you create something, problems arise that you didn't count on before. But you should never let that stop you, because all you need is to find a way to work it out, and then once it's gone, you know how to handle it again, making small tweaks and thus reaching a better result. Kind of like handing in a draft, getting it back and seeing all your mistakes, then correcting them to make it better.
You may be wondering whether I'm referring to Starfleet or space travel, I was wondering that myself, but now I think I mean both. Nothing is ever easy, but you have to work hard for something you want, and in the end you'll see that is was worth it. I cannot do this single handedly, I will need each and every one of you which for now isn't many. We only has a dismal 53 people on here, whereas over 2000 people have reblogged the Starfleet post. If you could, I would greatly appreciate you getting the word out to anyone you can, specifically about this forum as this is my only means of communication throughout the day except for Skype.
Well, this has been a rather lengthy and drawling post, and I'm sorry if I bored you. If you have indeed read this to the end, then I thank you. I am making a conscious effort to be more proactive, and am always open to ideas, questions and anything you may need to say.
